Every time I pitch that to someone, their reaction is the same. They look up and say "Ooh, that sounds cool!"

IRL is the first movie to put a supernatural twist on the concept of a CATFISH, popularized by the 2010 film and MTV spin-off of the same name.

​

Like 'Catfish,' our story is inspired by the epidemic of loneliness sweeping the globe. Over time, loneliness can make people do desperate things. Unthinkable things. We take this real-world phenomenon as our point of departure on a supernatural thrill ride that will shake our audience to its core.

I hope the trailer clearly demonstrated how we'll market this movie to a global audience. I hope it also conveyed that IRL is timely, and has things to say about the way we live and love in the Internet Era.
